The Central New England Nordic Council (CNENC) has been created by cross-country skiers to develop the sport of Nordic skiing in the Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire region. This is an area with many avid and potential skiers, but with few touring centers.

Our primary goal is to purchase the Windblown ski center in New Ipswich, NH, and operate it as a non-profit Nordic ski center.  We’re pursuing the purchase of Windblown because we love skiing there and because we see it as a great place to develop and grow the sport of cross country skiing in this region for everyone, including families, recreational and youth skiers, and junior and national competitors.  Windblown’s location in the upper elevations of southern New Hampshire and near major population centers also makes it an ideal spot for developing Nordic skiing. Continuing the long tradition established by current owners Al and Irene Jenks, we want Windblown to continue to be a welcoming ski touring center for families and individuals, while also providing a home for new recreational, educational, coaching, and outreach programs.
